I plan on proposing to my gf during Christmas, and my plan is to place the wedding ring into a corny gift which I will personally give her. I would like to see her reaction when she sees the corny gift <chuckles> and her reaction when she sees the wedding ring.

okay my hubby i dont know what to get him okay he has to many watches and he doesnt like rings the only ring hell wear is the wedding ring he does not like jewelry he has many coats and shoes he already has things for the car like a gps and stereo woofer and stuff tools he has alot of tools i thought about an ipod but he leaready has an iphone i just thought i would get him one with more memory purely for music but i dont know also i thought about designer sunglasses but i dont know if he would like that please advice on gift ideas for men and if you have an iphone is it too much if you get an ipod im just trying to get ideas thanks to any advice
My fiance bought me a everlon knot ring to propose with and we have been looking at wedding rings to compliment it. It has ,of course, the everlon knot on it and is white gold. The ring setting itself is pretty thin. If needed I can provide a picture for more help. Please give me any suggestions on ideas. Thanks!

Both my husband and i got gold wedding rings when we got married. We knew men are not permitted to wear gold, but we thought maybe a wedding ring would be an exception. But now im starting to think otherwise. Does anyone know the ruling on gold WEDDING rings in Islam? Should we get my husband a new, non gold wedding ring.
And just for the record – we dont wear them with superstitious thoughts or anything, its just to show other people (strangers) that we are married, i.e. unavailable!

i have skin asthma and i am opting to wear gloves on my wedding day to cover the allergies all over my hands. I’m not sure if it’s acceptable to put on the ring with gloves on? When my younger sister found out my fiancé had put a ring on layaway and was planning to propose (we had been dating for 2 years) she gave her boyfriend the ultimatum of propose or she would leave him. They had only been dating 8 months and he wasn’t ready and couldn’t afford to so he compromised got her a promise ring. When I got officially engaged she broke up with him because of his drinking problem but took him back him he got a job and bought her an engagement ring with a bigger diamond (my main stone is a ruby which is what I wanted but it is constantly rubbed in my face that she has a bigger diamond and it is getting old). My fiance and I set a date for next October. She then set a date for exactly 2 months before mine. My mom encourage her to pick a different date but I said don’t worry about it. The other day she and my mom and my other sister went to get the bridesmaid dresses and my mom said I should go ahead and try on some bridal gowns. I did and found a lovely dress that was more then I had planned to spend. My mom was gracious enough to offer to purchase it for me as a wedding gift. I was very excited of course. My sister then made a big deal of the fact that she didn’t get to pick her dress (my mom wanted her to wear my grandmother’s). My mom told her to go ahead and try a few on. She kept saying how she wanted a simple gown but after hearing the price on mine she instead picked a designer gown for over a 00. I am starting to feel resentful. How do I handle this?
She is my MOH so it is hard to keep detail from her. She is normally a good sister.
I still have my wedding ring from my first marriage. I am remarried now. I don’t know what to do with it? I was thinking of selling it and putting the money I get into my daughter’s bank account ( she’s five years old). Others were telling me I should keep it and give it to her when she gets married, but our marriage ended in divorce. Does anyone have any other ideas? It is a clip like thingy that is put inside the ring so it would decrease the ring’s size. Our wedding rings are somewhat like 2 sizes bigger so we are unable to wear them. I dont want to adjust them by cutting a part of it as it would damage its design. Thank you in advance to those who will take time to answer.

I found an absolutely BEAUTIFUL ring… I’m in love with it. but it’s an engagment ring… my fiance and I will be having a very small service when we get married (next march) and I was wondering if I can use an engagment right as my actual wedding band? Some spouses don’t wear their rings when they are married. For example, my friend’s dad doesn’t wear his wedding ring and his wife gets upset about it. He says, he doesn’t like jewelery. How would you react if your spouse didn’t wear their wedding ring? Do you care or would you not mind it?

I inherited my grandmother’s wedding ring which is fancier than something I would typically own or wear. Will it look like I’m showing off, or will it look out of place to wear it everyday? I like it, but just not sure if it’s appropriate for me to wear. I usually wear jeans, even to work.
